About the Australian Thoroughbred Racing Employment Centre (ATREC)

ATREC provides a web-based platform where associations, companies, race clubs and employers within the Australian and New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing Industry can advertise job vacancies free of charge. This provides a direct link between industry employers and potential employees.

The site aims to:

• Promote, encourage and strengthen employment in the Australian and New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing Industries.
• Limit advertising costs for industry employers.
• Retain funds within the industry that may have previously been spent on advertising.
• Provide a vehicle for employers to reach their target market.
• Provide a vehicle for industry job seekers to locate a range of vacant racing positions.

The ATREC homepage lists all the current positions vacant. From here job seekers can click onto the desired listings and view further detailed job descriptions. Job seekers also have the option of searching for jobs by preferred state and/or by the sought job category. This allows job seekers to locate relevant positions depending on their location and line of work preferences.

If employers wish to submit a position to ATREC, they can simply fill out the online form provided in the ?Employers? section. From here, employers enter basic information relating to the position; such as the position title, the name of the company or stable, the suburb, the state, along with contact details for applications. Employers also provide details of the job and have the option to attach a more detailed job description (in Word or PDF) that they may have previously created.
